Director of Information Technology



This company is looking for a Director of Information Technology for a permanent position in Las Vegas, Nevada. This is an opportunity to work with a well known company. The Director of Information Technology is responsible for managing all information, business systems, software and operational technology within the corporation.



Responsibilities:



• Oversee all I.T. Systems management and maintenance to ensure minimal downtime of systems

• Administer the operation of the Information Technology division. This includes, but is not limited to the management of budget and expenditures of IT technology throughout the organization

• Staff development and management. This includes the assignment of tasks, monitoring performance, managing staff time and compliance with corporate policies and procedures

• Develop and manage staff training, as it relates to computers and technology

• Evaluation, selection and acquisition of technology in the support of projects throughout the organization

• Work with the management team in the discussion, acquisition and adoption of improved methods, procedures and policies that are attained through the effective use of technology

• Establish company standards for hardware and network applications, assist in the negotiation of the terms and conditions for these applications

• Other duties may be assigned, if deemed necessary, by the company

• Coordination and communication with managers and users within the organization



Job Requirements:



• At least 5 years in an Information Technology management position, preferably in construction

• At least 10 years in general Information Technology positions

• At a minimum, a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Management or equivalent

• General technical skills in problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level

• Working knowledge of networking, server management, PC configuration, PC maintenance, and computer software programs

• Ability to think ahead and plan over a 3-year period

• A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
