Southwest Paranormal Investigators Research Documentation Case Number:__H489__ Date:_13 April 2007__





Investigation Conducted By: Roy Whittaker, Kimberly Angel, Leola Anne, Scott P. Wells, Robert Kinder, Greg and Myra MaGee





Nature of Paranormal Activity: The Prugh family contacted SWP via our webform in early April 2007. Ernest and Isabel informed us that there was much activity in his home, especially around the master bedroom closet area and children's bedroom. Their 3 small children, ages 2, 5, and 9, were frightened to be in their bedrooms, especially when they were alone. The 9 year old told us, that he had received as a gift from his grandmother, a brass lamp, old figurines, a seashell collection, old books, and other toys, after which the activity seemed to start. The grandmother had been giving items away after her husband died. Isabel sent us 2 strange photographs of a misty form in the children's bedroom. Knowing that the children were frightened, SWP members hastened to Las Vegas to investigate and try to help. SWP staff noted that there was a large number of investigators who "volunteered" to attend this case, likely due to the opportunity to have a little fun on the off chance that there would be a free hour or two to visit the casinos.





On April 13, SWP members were able to make the early meeting at the Prugh home. Ernest was at work when we arrived at noon. Two of the children were home and watched us set up our equipment with much interest. As we were setting up the video equipment in the living room, the 2 year old child screamed and stated that "Mr. Nowhere was coming out of the television". Isabel told us that the 2 smaller children called their "ghost" Mr. Nowhere, while the older child refused to name the entity. We snapped some pictures and one image of the television, which was off at the time, had a strange arm-like image that looked to be opening a door. Interesting enough, the arm and shirt looked like the one worn by Scott Wells, but no video was hooked up to the homeowner's television. Leola started to get vibes of the activity right away. She did not feel anything in the master closet as the homeowners had stated. But she did say, that she felt and incredible amount of disturbance in the children's rooms. We took a baseline EMF reading of the entire home. The children's rooms showed constant spiking 20-30 times higher than the surrounding rooms. The temperature was a constant 69 degrees throughout the house with the exception of the kitchen at 74 degrees and holding. It took some time to set up the equipment with the children underfoot, but Mr. Prugh arrived home at 3:30 and took the children to his parent's house. Then we were able to conduct our full investigation to the best of our abilities. Leola felt a child's spirit in the children's room, and felt it was somehow attached to the kids. We placed 2 cameras in the children's room alone. Robert ventured into the attic. He was interested to find an old ouija board stored up there, above the children's room.





We informed the parents about the inclinations of problems to start when people toy with ouija boards. They had no idea it was up there and asked for it to be removed. It was getting dark. By 8:00 PM, we had gathered several hundred images and we were busy taking EVPs. Leola stated that a spirit wanted to come through to speak. We gathered 3 of the researchers into the children's room and set the camcorders up to record. There was an eerie menace in the air. As Leola started to go into trance, two of the researchers caught "black orbs" moving through the room.





A bit of a panic broke out when one of the children's electronic toys turned on by itself and began blasting loud music. Leola, deep in trance, was unphased. We waited, it took nearly 12 minutes before the spirit began to speak through her lips. As transcribed: "Hello. Who are you? Why are you in my room? Where is my mommy?" The voice was small, child-like. Myra tried to communicate, she began to ask the child spirit it's name. But there was no response after that initial contact. Leola came out of trance within a few minutes. By now it was 10:00 PM. We went to tell Isabel about the child voice. At that point, Isabel became upset. She asked to see the video of Leola's trance, and we rewound and played for her. She then asked us to stop the investigation. We were confused, until she told us that she had lost a child several years previously. None of us thought that the entity in the home was her lost child, and we told her such, but when Isabel considered that it MIGHT be her little girl, she did not want any clearing of the spirit. Mr. Prugh asked us to respect his wife's wishes. But they did ask us to remove the ouija board and the toys in the children's bedroom which had been showing strong activity





Conclusion: we found so much evidence that this location is paranormally active that we concur that it is haunted. The Prugh's do not wish a spirit cleansing. We gave some advice to our opinions on the activity and returned to our hotel rooms. Of note: we caught on a camcorder set up in the children's room high movement on a toy shelf, and a female voice EVP sounding like "yoohoo". No females were in that part of the house at the time of the recording. We have 4 pics with dark orbs, not the standard "is that dust?" orb, these are black balls of shadow which move about the room. Mr. Prugh asked us to not show images of the master bedroom. No other privacy requests.
