GAME ENGINE PROGRAMMER





Multimedia Games, Inc. [MGAM] delivers exciting, networked gaming systems that generate significant revenue for Native American Tribes, state lotteries and charities. MGAM develops, manufactures and deploys complete technology solutions including custom back-office management, accounting systems and compelling gaming player stations, as well as the networks to connect players and manage these systems. Game determination engines based on video lottery or interactive high-stakes bingo principles form the foundation of MGAM technology. These systems, which are deployed at over 100 sites across the United States, are supported locally and are monitored from MGAM’s corporate headquarters in Austin, Texas.








Position Description:





Responsible for the development and documentation of casino game software. Codes portion of game framework shared by all games. Codes cutting edge software applications using state-of-the-art tools. Uses Visual C++ to assemble casino games. Enhances existing game framework and library of existing game types for specific game functionality. Implements casino game logic using Visual C++. Uses Visual Studio to debug game software and interfaces with Software Quality Assurance Department, Producer, Designer, Artists, Mathematicians, and Sound Designers. Game Engine Programmer supports Game Programmer with technical knowledge and by programming new technologies. Position reports to Game Technology Producer. Performs other duties as required.








Minimum Qualifications:





Requires a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (engineering, etc.). Ability to program using Microsoft Visual C/C++. Understands object oriented programming techniques. Strong initiative skills, detail oriented, and strong interpersonal skills. A strong technical foundation and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment to complete objectives. Full understanding of common coding standards, configuration management, and full life cycle systems development. Ability to prepare and implement programming specifications and maintain product through testing, implementation and life cycle support, including enhancing with new capabilities, repairing defects and monitoring system performance. Strong interpersonal skills.
